Our client is currently recruiting for a Nursing Care Home Manager to work in a residential care home setting assuming full operational responsibility for a team of Registered Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, Health Care Supervisors and Assistants. As clinical lead the Nursing Care Home Manager drives nursing standards to meet residents personal, medical and rehabilitative needs, and ensure an effective team of nursing staff who deliver person-centric care.

* 37.5 hours per week - Hours can be very flexible 7am 3pm Mon - Fri or 8 4 or 9 5 or even condensed hours over a 4 day week. Or 4 days in the week and 1 day at the weekend.
The main duties of the Nursing Care Home Manager role include:
* Ensure effective operational delivery of a top-tier clinical multidisciplinary service.
* Ensuring adequate staffing and participate in the staff recruitment and selection process.
* Deputise for the Registered Manager when required.
* Accountable for residents' clinical management, prioritizing their care delivery needs.
* Assess prospective residents during admissions and plan their entry with the Nursing Team/Placements Officer.
* Liaise with funding authorities regarding prospective resident placements.
* Meet residents' clinical, physical, and psychological needs, following CQC standards.
* Implement safeguarding procedures.
* Monitor staff induction and encourage reflective practice for continuous improvement.
* Oversee assessment documentation completion and maintain high-quality record-keeping.
* Coach, mentor, and assess student nurses; provide formal training when qualified.
* Ensure staff attendance in mandatory training and participation of on-call responsibilities, offering specialist advice when needed out of hours.

Essential
* NMC registration
* Proficient in displaying positive emotional intelligence while managing teams and tasks
* Willingness and capability to undertake clinical duties as necessary.
* Expertise in change management principles and their application to implement changes while maintaining engagement and reducing disruptions.
* Proficient in planning, developing timely and comprehensive plans considering operational intricacies, risks, and benefits.
* Skilled in managing processes, implementing improvements or changes efficiently.
* Demonstrates professionalism under pressure
* Knowledge and experience with Liberty Protection Safeguards and Mental Capacity Act (MCA)
Desirable
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health and Social Care or the equivalent
* Previous experience of working as a Registered Manager within a Care Home environment
