Job summary
Carbon60 are excited to be working with a global leader in fluid engineering and chemical processing applications. Due to expansion, we are currently recruiting for an Estimator to join the team in Falkirk.Purpose of the job
The Role will form a key part of the Service Centre team, carrying out technical estimating and generation of quotations. Incorporating but not limited to the following:
Main tasks and responsibilities
Handling of initial customer Request for Quote. Review of technical and commercial specification and highlighting any areas of concern/focus.
Efficient raising of enquiries in system (Salesforce).
Liaising with Customer contacts with regards to enquiries to fully understand their requirements in relation to quotation return date, technical scope, commercial, delivery and quality.
Obtaining supplier/sub-contractor pricing as required.
Collating of relevant information and technical data and generating internal document packs for estimates/quotes.
Development of detailed, technical estimation. Incorporating structured work scope, budgeted hours and direct costs, in accordance with local Delegation of Authority.
Formulate detailed commercial quotation documents and send to the customer.
Liaise with Customers & Area Sales Engineer(s) daily, ensuring communication is clear and effective.
Support technical procurement, as part of the estimation process, liaising with suppliers and sub-contractors.
Handling of Customer Purchase Order upon receipt. Carry out review of PO requirements. Ensure quotation and quoted work scope aligns with PO and process PO through the system.
Hand over quotation pack to Operations to allow order to be released to workshops.
Liaise with operations (Production Manager, Supervisor, Team Leaders) in relation to any changes to scope on released orders and generate quotation for additional work/variations.
Have a pro-active approach & help promote/develop Sulzer Core Values, LEAN, 5's & Sulzer Safe Behaviour Program. (SBP).
Co-operating with safety representatives to actively promote safe working practices and encourage a positive Health and Safety Culture within the Service Centre.
Any other duties commensurate with your skills, knowledge and experience.

Qualifications:
Working knowledge of mechanical workshop processes and repair principles.
Comfortable with multi-tasking and changing direction to meet customer/business demands at the time.
Conversant with Microsoft office including word, excel and Outlook.
Previous experience of working in a service industry environment.
Experience in use of ERP systems (such as Microsoft Dynamics or similar).
Customer Relations experience.
