Job summary
Welfare Administrator - Full Time, permanentOur client based in Harlow are seeking a Welfare Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be providing administrative support to the Welfare department and Management Team.
Duties:
Organise and prioritise own work to ensure it is completed to agreed timeframes
Compile detailed and professional responses to a wide range of notifications, referrals, emails, and letters, in a timely manner
Identify and provide signposting information to defendants and third parties, verbally and in writing
Understand the importance of confidentiality and the boundaries within which to operate when working with defendants and third parties
Refer to procedures and standard regulations including DPA, GDPR and Data Retention protocols
Collate, review, and accurately record detailed information and evidence
Carry out analysis of case history, to efficiently deal with customers in vulnerable situations
Set up payment arrangements and carry out periodic reviews, through written and verbal communication
Identify and escalate difficult cases to an appropriate senior member of staff
Review diary reminders on a daily or adhoc basis
Build and maintain effective working relationships with all internal departments
Engage in continuous personal and professional development in line with the demands of the role
Operating Case Management System and SharePoint
Requirements:
Strong administration and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
High level of accuracy and concentration
Able to deal with customers professionally, calmly, and sensitively
Ability to manage a varied workload, coordinate a range of activities and prioritise tasks effectively to deliver results, and meet deadlines and company expectations
IT skills in Microsoft 365 Outlook, Word, and Excel
Monday-Friday, 37.5 hour week - Can be flexible on hours working either: 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm
£21,500 - £23,000 per annum, depending on experience
