Key Responsibilities of the Warehouse Team Leader:

Team Management:

Oversee and support a team of Warehouse operatives, guiding them in their day-to-day activities.Process Improvement:

Continuously assess and enhance internal stock control processes, focusing on componentry, product, and packaging checks to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy.Project Management:

Identify and execute projects within the department aimed at improving productivity, ensuring efficient workflow and resource utilization.Quality Management:

Identify and report quality issues, troubleshoot to determine root causes, and drive process improvements to enhance overall product and service quality.Performance Measurement:

Establish and track departmental metrics, reporting regularly to ensure the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), while also contributing to planning and scheduling activities in collaboration with the Logistics team.
Desired Attributes & Experience:
Education:

GCSE standard in Maths & EnglishExperience:

3+ years in team leader/supervisory role with hands-on warehouse experience, ideally in manufacturingTechnical Competencies:

Ideally experienced in Microsoft Navision; MRP/ERP system knowledge advantageous
Plan and evaluate team activities for department objectives
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilityInterpersonal Skills:

Leadership, coaching, and development of team members
Thrives under pressure with a confident and professional demeanour
