Description
The successful candidate will likely have the following responsibilities:
Leadership of accounting services function on a day-to-day basis.
Management Accounts - delivery per established Month-end procedure
Variance analysis
Monthly reporting - forward-looking, KPI, and cash
Budgeting & Forecasting
Modelling and strategy for opportunities
Business partnering internally and externally
Systems & Processes - ensure that effective practices and procedures are in place and complied with
Support to Group FC / Group FD from time to time - corporate M&A and other strategic initiatives
Annual Accounts / Audit - prepare year-end accounts, lead and deliver audit process.Profile
The successful candidate will likely have the following profile:
Proactive, persistent, willingness to roll up sleeves
IT literate and high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent communicator at all levels, written and verbal
Exp of preparation of month-end reporting
Exp of year-end statutory reporting
Appropriate Accounting qual; ACCA/CIMA/ICAS ideally
Able to take a strategic and commercial view and create solutions that are congruent with company strategy and funding metrics
Able to work independently and as part of a core team
Construction or Property exp would be advantageous
Job Offer
This role offers a competitive salary between £55,000-£60,000 plus benefits
