A prominent accountancy and professional advisory firm, in collaboration with Perrott Partners Recruitment, is currently seeking skilled professionals to fill Audit Senior positions in our London and Godalming offices.
THE ROLE
As an Audit Senior, you will play a pivotal role in delivering efficient and comprehensive services to the audit department management team and principals. This multifaceted position involves overseeing and conducting audits and accounts work, both at our office and client premises. RESPONSIBILITIES
The role encompasses the following:
* Execute accounting processes and controls to ensure accurate information production, documenting work performed for proper audit trails.
* Provide guidance and ensure adoption of appropriate accounting practices in financial information production.
* Offer technical expertise to design solutions.
* Prepare statutory financial statements for limited companies.
* Prepare partnership and sole trader accounts.
* Prepare and file annual returns and PSC confirmation statements to Companies House.
* Supervise and assist a team of junior staff.
* Liaise with clients and HMRC.
* Depending on experience, manage a portfolio of clients.
* Maintain and develop client relationships through written communication and face-to-face meetings.
* Undertake other ad hoc duties as per business requirements.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following:
* Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice.
* Experience in delivering external audit and accounting services in varied client sizes and sectors.
* Ability to provide outstanding and professional service, offering exceptional advice and maximum added value to clients.
* Beneficial computer program experience includes ProAudit, Sage Accounts Production Advanced, Sage Line 50, Xero.
* Strong analytical and research skills.
* Proactive approach, taking ownership of assigned tasks.
