Retail Analyst | Salary up to £50,000 | Nuneaton | (Hybrid) 2 days in the office | 12 Month Maternity Cover

An exciting opportunity with a Leading Health & Wellness company for an experienced Retail Analyst to support and ensure compliance to the Retail budgets across the 4 supporting functions within the Retail side. As the Salary Allocation Manager you will need to have experience and knowledge of Payroll and have a broad numerical and analytical background with experience in complex statistical problems and scenario modelling.

Retail Analyst role

Support the CI function to identify Retail areas of opportunity
Oversee the development of the labour model that accurately reflects the work content and is flexible to adapt and change to the future of the rapid changes within the business
Work with stakeholders to review hours savings through the projects they are working on and ensuring modelling is up to date with any changes
Partner with the Project Managers, Change & CI Teams, Finance Teams, Format Development and Property Director and key stakeholders of the field teams to drive execution and manage the Retail budgets
Be the driving point to control and govern all spend across all Retail, Property & Contact centre functions Scale & Authority

Process improvements and task reduction - Constantly review and develop solutions to improve processes within the team that will help deliver greater efficiencies and insight for the Project Managers, Property Teams and retail operations team,
Project Management - Support on projects for the Retail, Retail Operations and Property Director, Director of Retail Operations, Head of Retail Operations (Operating Model and Change) and Directors of Stores as requested ensuring they are successfully tracked and costs recorded in line with capex budget sign off for individual projects
Data and Insight - Providing tactical advice to Group Retail and Property Director, Director of Central Operations or line management regarding the standardised procedures related to analysis, data or projects within my area of control. Develop information that directs the Retail Leadership team to the root cause of all potential future risks or opportunities relating to the overall Retail Spend
Financial Accountability - Driving governance of payroll spend to ensure that the Retail Manpower budget is aligned
Strategic Thinking - Understands organisational goals and how they successfully contribute to them. Considers the broader contribution and impact their role has. Plans for now, with an eye on the immediate future
Business Acumen - Understands our business, our retail market and how we operate within it. Is aware of how our teams work together to achieve business targets. Curious to know and build their understanding of the business
Financial Accountability - Be the creator of reports and data to ensure that the Retail budget is aligned
Driving results - Delivers results by acting with pace, drive & tenacity. Looks for opportunities to beat targets.Retail Analyst responsibilities:

Control and monitor costs spent from key areas against the overall trackers
Invoice validation checks through finance and property systems
Raise internal capex orders using in house software
Ensure relevant stakeholders are provided with up to date an accurate reporting relating to capex spend
Oversee the governance of total Retail Capex Spend to include a combined spend budget of £37m CAPEX costs
Continually review and develop retail capex reporting to deliver effective analytics to senior teams to inform future business decisions
Have a collaborative mind-set and be confident sharing different views and perspectives when dealing with a senior group of stakeholders
Ensure the timely delivery of the monthly reporting to key stakeholders in regards to capex reporting
Implementation and control of processes and activities to ensure budget targets are reported on accurately on monthly/quarterly/annual basis
Governance of Retail Payroll Budget of £70m across over 820 stores in UK & ROI
Implementation and control of processes and activities to ensure budget targets are met on monthly/quarterly/annual basis
Ensure the timely delivery of the labour strategy and the related costs and benefits of activities within agreed budgets
Continually review and develop retail payroll reporting to deliver effective analytics to senior teams to inform future business decisions
Continuously review retail payroll and attendance processes and policies to ensure they are up to date and relevant
Partner Finance in defining the shape of spend of the Payroll budget across the financial year
Build, develop and exploit a wide set of functional relationships including Stores, HR, FP&A, Distribution, EHS, Property, Central Operations and Field TeamsSkills & Knowledge Required:

Broad numerical & analytical background with experience in complex statistical problems and scenario modelling
Accountancy or financial background in budgeting, control and capex spend
Advanced level Excel and Powerpoint
Focus on customers' needs delivering requirements to agreed timelines
Able to simplify complexity, driving continuous improvement in self, team and stakeholders
Understand current operating model and processes involved in running our stores. Supports new processes or amend existing processes required
Ability to use data to deliver insight, generating ideas and making recommendations
Effective decision making, communications / listening & organised
