Overview:
We are currently recruiting in partnership with our client for an experience HSEQ Business Partner to be based at their site in Macclesfield. The successful candidate will work in partnership with the appropriate operational and functional leaders. Provide professional HSEQ guidance with regards to HSEQ initiatives, contract mobilisations and integration, in addition to seeking opportunities to interface with our customer base and develop proactive HSEQ solutions for the business.
Play a pivotal role in the core HSEQ team, working to continually improve both the scope and quality of the service offered to the business working closely with other HSEQ Business Partners in delivering UK wide support, to provide positive management for Company Operations on Health, Safety and Environment (HSEQ) issues and promote the adoption of HSEQ best practice and an enthusiastic HSEQ culture that delivers positive commitment to, and engages all employees in, continuous improvement in HSEQ performance.

To work with others to ensure a safety responsible culture is established with our supply chain chair principal sub-contractor forums.
Ensure there is a business-wide awareness with appropriate training and education programmes in place to reinforce understanding balanced up by an effective internal communication programme.
Facilitate integration of HSEQ within the Company UK by being completely integrated into the business.
Provide outstanding HSEQ Support
Establish positive customer relationships and seek opportunities to add value to the Company service delivery.
Deliver Company UK HSEQ objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide the operational interface to Managers, in the relevant division through the provision of HSEQ guidance and support both at team meetings and developing people management solutions to achieve business objectives.
Monitor the effectiveness of the Company HSEQ management system and make recommendations for improvement as appropriate.
Provide assistance and support to the HSEQ / CSR Director.
Deliver and monitor annual HSEQ objectives and report on their implementation in accordance with an agreed actions timetable.
Produce monthly reports on HSEQ performance, assessing performance against KPIs and collate the monthly HSEQ statistics from the relevant business unit and ensure these are reported to the Company UK HSEQ / CSR Director
Be an integral team member in the Company HSEQ functional team and support the business engagement in sustainability and environmental awareness forums.
Ensure that there are appropriate processes in place for promptly alerting the business and the Company HSEQ / CSR Director to significant accidents and incidents. Where appropriate be involved in the investigation and ensure that the findings are reported
Review accident and incident reports and investigation reports, identify any trends and ensure that there is an appropriate improvement plan to prevent future recurrence.
Work in partnership with colleagues in the Central HSEQ department to ensure coordination in operational/policy development and the enhancement of HSEQ understanding and provision.
Coach, support, mentor, and challenge managers in the application of HSEQ policies and practices, provide advice and guidance on HSEQ issues.
Monitor the HSEQ Induction programme for new starters to ensure that it is being carried out to consistent standards. Also, to meet with Managers to provide coaching in this area where necessary.
Skills & Experience:
Essential
A Building Services Facilities Services or Industrial Services background, with emphasis on mechanical and electrical installation.
Strong organisational, decision-making and communication skills as you will often have to persuade the management to agree with your decisions.
Driver of change and Continuous Performance improvement, high levels of personal commitment
NEBOSH Diploma/Degree or equivalent in Occupational Safety and Health
In possession of or working towards Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health
Proven track record working as a key member of an HSEQ team
Proactive approach to HSEQ responsibilities
Desirable
Experience working in the Building Facilities or Industrial Services or similar market sector.
Experience in managing, mentoring, and developing staff / teams
Ability to provide necessary guidance and influence at all levels.
Sound understanding of Building and Facility Services installation and maintenance requires working knowledge of permit to work processes and engineering risk assessment/method statement processes.
Sound presentation and influencing skills.
