Job summary
A leading provider of power protection products, is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join their team as a Customer Service Engineer. This is a field engineer position based in the M4/M5 corridor, offering a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge power protection technology.As a Customer Service Engineer, you will:
Commission, maintain, repair, and occasionally modify Piller's range of power protection products
Ensure timely arrival at customer sites with all necessary tools, spares, and equipment
Provide 24/7 on-call service with a rotation of 7-day duties every 4-5 weeks
Be prepared for occasional night work and short-notice travel
Qualifications:
Minimum ONC, HNC, HND, or equivalent in Electronic/Electrical engineering with a bias towards power electronics
Knowledge of regulator and logic control systems, rotating machines, power rectifiers, and inverter drives is advantageous
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Proficiency in basic hand tools and electrical instruments
Clean full UK driving licence
The Package:
Competitive salary: c£42,000
Overtime paid for hours worked beyond 8 hours in a day, including double time on bank holidays
Company-provided tools, instrumentation, PPE, and clothing
Company van available for private use, fully expensed subject to HMRC rules
Company pension scheme and private medical scheme after a qualifying period
20 days paid annual leave plus bank holidays and 3 discretionary days over the Christmas holiday period
Additional Information:
Candidates must live in the M4/M5 corridor, not further west than Bristol and not further north than Birmingham
Accommodation will be provided when working away from home
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing schedules, including weekends, occasional nights, and travel countrywide and to Europe
