Job Title: Credit ControllerLocation: Leicester
Salary: £21,000 per annum
Hours of Work: Mon- Fri 09:00 17:00 (approx.)
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the end-to-end cash collection process. Your role will include validating and collecting revenue owed to the business by suppliers, 3rd parties and customers. As well as collecting outstanding revenue, the successful candidate will have the skills and knowledge to help develop effective and compliant collection processes, improving cash flow, reducing bad debt and increasing profit targets.
Accountabilities of a Credit Controller
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for:
Ensuring timely payments by building effective supplier and partner relationships
Helping manage payments to external partners
Mitigating cash exposure
Spotting trends/risks and escalating to management
Allocating payments to financial systems and accounts
Cash collection via telephone
Investigate queries and proactively chase late payments from suppliers.
Develop and maintain records to track debt effectively and efficiently
Continuously improve our debt collection processes and reduce outstanding debt.
Any other ad-hoc duties as required by the business
Responsible for achieving and exceeding cash collection targets Knowledge,
Skills and experience of a Credit Control
As a Credit Controller, you need:
Excellent Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in all tasks
Minimum of 2 years experience in Debt collection and Credit Control
Ideally Experience in B2B Debt Collection
Excellent knowledge and understanding of regulations and compliance in cash collection activities
To be a proactive self-starter, taking ownership of own development and problem solving
The ability to work with multiple Computer Applications/CRMs inc. Excel and databases
To LOVE working with numbers
Excellent Communication both verbally and written
Problem-Solving Abilities: Quickly resolving conflicts and coming up with solutions to everyday challenges
