Job summary
WSR is recruiting for a Logistics & Operations Assistant for our esteemed client in Milton Keynes.Salary: Up to £28k DOE
Working hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm with 1 hour lunch (3:30pm finish on a Friday)
Location: Milton Keynes - Office Based (There will be a requirement to travel to our site in Atherstone 2-3x monthly)
Reports To: Operations Director Via Logistics and QHSE Managers
Logistics & Operations Assistant Role Overview
The core mission of the Logistics & Operations Assistant is to provide outstanding support to the Logistics and Operations teams. This position requires an ability to work as a member of a team and to coordinate effectively with external logistics suppliers.
Logistics & Operations Assistant Responsibilities and Duties
Working with the Project Management team to arrange transportation and deliveries of consignments to site in a timely and coordinated way.
Planning and attention to detail are very important requirements.
Working with customers to ensure their specific delivery requirements are understood properly and met quickly and efficiently with first class Customer Service.
Confidently maintaining consistent communication with both customers and 3rd party couriers.
Supporting the QHSE Manager with administrative tasks keeping H&S database up to date, uploading training certificates, keeping records of PPE, taking minutes, distributing and chasing actions etc.

Must be confident and outgoing on the phone
Must be well organised and have strong time and task management skills
Experience working with 3rd party couriers (advantage but not essential)
IT literate
Knowledge of Excel/Smart sheets
