My client offers a comprehensive design and build mechanical services solution, specializing in CAT A and CAT B fit-out projects. the focus is on providing tailored, value-for-money resolutions from conception to defect-free delivery.
The Role:
- Overseeing a large Mechanical Project in Bristol - £2m in value (Mechanical).
- Overseeing the one project which will generally consists of a Site Supervisor/Manager and direct/subcontract labour. Commercial project.
- Responsible for all Mechanical & HVAC aspects of the project.
- Responsible for effective relationship management with clients & working partners to achieve smooth operational and commercial progression of projects.
- Making sure health, safety & welfare is maintained and adhered to at project/site level.
- Managing the project until handover to the end user.
- Ensuring that all related design information is correctly and fully audited to secure overall compliance.
- Overseeing all elements of the overall commissioning process to ensure that the installations are correctly commissioned.
- Ensuring that complete and comprehensive records are collated and maintained covering all aspects of quality control, system/equipment testing, water treatment, commissioning and equipment maintenance.
- Working closely with the Quantity Surveyor for progress reports and to ensure all commercial and contractual requirements are correctly fulfilled.
- Attend on site meetings, as and when required.
- Overseeing the preparation of operation & maintenance manuals.
- Providing technical support and expertise to the internal project team.
- Managing variation costings and control with the Quantity Surveyor and main contractor.
- Role based between projects and the office - both locations in Bristol.
- Working hours: 8-4, Mon-Fri.
- Reporting to the Director.

- 20+ years experience delivering Mechanical projects throughout the UK.
- HQ located in the West Midlands with other offices across the UK.
- This company works mainly on a subcontract model and only has 8 direct employees. They currently have 15 Project Managers work for them on a sub-contract basis with 12 of them being with the business for 5+ years.
- This company is currently at around £17m turnover per annum.
- This hire is due to a project win in Bristol which they require additional project management for.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Will have 5+ years experience working as a Mechanical Project Manager.
- Will have previous experience working with commercial projects up to the value of £2m (Mechanical).
- Will hold a Black CSCS Managers Card. SSSTS/SMSTS and HND/HNC advantageous.
- Will work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Will have excellent communication skills.
- Will be willing to work on site in Bristol everyday.
