Traffic EngineerAre you an experienced in Traffic Engineering? Are you looking for a long term contract role?
I am recruiting for Traffic Engineers of various levels to join a client in Wiltshire.
The Engineers will undertake the design, development and implementation of Traffic Engineering measures to improve road safety and network efficiency.
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
·Undertake and supervise the design and delivery of traffic management measures to improve road safety and network capacity throughout the network including:
·Consulting on options and after taking on board representation, deciding which schemes to be progressed where multiple technical considerations need to be weighed up
·Organises the detailed design of preferred scheme ensuring statutory procedures are undertaken in accordance with current legislation
·Taking design decisions to ensure best outcomes are achieved to meet the needs of highways users and provide an improved service.
·Plan and carry out tests / inspections / surveys /assessments / evaluations / audits. Identify issues, resolve for significantly more complex ones, come up with potential solutions and recommendations and discuss with more senior colleagues / manager
·Collate, process and analyse information / evidence using the appropriate systems. Ensure all records / information / evidence are managed correctly.
·Prepare, develop and design traffic management schemes throughout the area proficient use of specialist IT software to include ACAD, SignPlot, SignMap, MapInfo, MapExplorer, AccMap, Parkmap, KeyLines, KeySigns, AutoTrack (Daily)
Essential requirements
·Degree qualified or equivalent ability and skills
·HND level in Civil Engineering and be a member of an appropriate institution
·Working towards incorporated engineer status
·Relevant experience in traffic engineering.
·Have extensive knowledge of traffic engineering techniques and procedures
·Experience in project management.
