Temp to perm for the right candidate
Our long-standing client in Livingston are looking for a reliable Handy Person to undertake upkeep and repair tasks at the interior or exterior of our company premises. They will rely on the successful candidate to keep their facilities in perfect condition by doing various odd jobs.
Your key responsibilities in the role are:

· To work to the standard set in the most efficient and safe manner possible.
*
· Ensure that work surroundings are kept tidy and comply with health and safety requirements.
*
· Adhere to company and customer guidelines and procedures at all times.
*
· Perform maintenance and light repairs.
*
· Ensure all scheduled maintenance checks are carried out.
*
· Identify and report the need for major repairs.
*
· Perform routine landscaping on the grounds.
*
· Clearing yard of snow during winter months.
*
· To ensure all hygiene tasks are completed to schedule.
*
· Cleaning and maintaining Ripening Rooms. This will involve wearing a suit with fitted respirator due to use of cleaning chemicals.
*
· To carry out any reasonable task assigned by the management team.
*
Key skills required:
*
General handyman experience essential.
*
Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment.
*
Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems.
*
Well organized and aptitude in problem solving.
*
Excellent attention to detail.
*
Flexible.
*
Very good English communication skills.
*
Experience of working in a busy working environment.
Other information:
*
Full training will be given.
*
Some degree of flexibility will be required in terms of shifts and hours of work, in order to meet the demands of the business. Hours of work initially Monday to Friday 8.00 am 5.00 pm.
*
Hourly rate is £11.50.
