Are you an experienced machine operator looking for a new opportunity that offers a great opportunity at a 4 day shift and a good opportunity at progressing within the company? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a successful firm, specialising in the engineering and manufacturer. Working in woodwork, you will be learning to operate all on site machinery, processing materials such as MDF and chipboard.
Key duties of the Machine Operative will include:
- Loading and unloading of components on to the automated machinery
- Operating machinery to requirements
- Daily checks on machinery
- Operational maintenance, reporting any faults to senior operators
- Conducting periodic quality checks
- Processing relevant documentation
Key Skills and Experience of a Machine Operative:
- Previous experience working with Edgebanding machinery is advantageous
- Previous experience working with machinery with the willingness to learn
- Capable of working to your own initiative
- Ability to multitask and use initiative to time jobs
- Must be able to follow procedures and instructions
- Knowledge of production/manufacture process
- Experience in an Engineering/Manufacturing environment
- High attention to detail
- Ability to read and understand measuring equipment is advantageous
- Commitment to develop further and progress in the company
