The Situation
Ford & Stanley Recruitment is currently partnered with the UKs leading part supplier to the Railway industry, with expertise across Infrastructure, Traction and Rolling Stock. They have a long heritage of product design, innovation, and development across the Railway industry, with a particular focus on onboard train systems. The Design and Development team partner with Rail manufacturers, focusing on the modernisation and innovation of onboard train systems that align to the functionality and safety of the industry standards. With an 8-strong team and supported by a number of subcontractors, the business is focused on bolstering its capability and capacity by hiring a Senior Electronics Engineer
Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Head of Design and Development, the Senior Electronics Engineer leads independently on Electronic design, development, and innovation. You will be responsible for designing new and updated board-level electronic hardware for onboard train protection and safety systems as part of a cross-functional team featuring embedded software and mechanical engineers. As part of a smaller team, you will have the opportunity to work on varied areas of the product lifecycle and expand your level of understanding within a traditional Electronics Engineer position. The D&D team have ambitions for growth, as a Senior Electronics Engineer you will be pivotal in this growth and the continued innovation of their product offering.
Key Essential Criteria
1) Experience independently managing the full product lifecycle within Electronic Engineering
2) Degree educated or equivalent experience
