As an SEN tutor you will:
have a passion for instilling excitement in the students for learning. be an individual who can provide the school's young people with a safe and encouraging environment for them to learn and flourish. be responsible for teaching a range of subjects to all students in the PRU. play an essential part to help continue the altruistic work of the PRU and give the pupils the chance to either get back into mainstream schools or progress into a sustained Post 16 pathway.
The job
Academics has a vacancy for an SEN tutor to work in a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit), offering a chance to play an important role in changing the lives of children aged 11 to 16 at a leading Alternative Education School. As an SEN tutor in a PRU, you will have passion for instilling excitement in the students for learning and help provide young people with a safe and encouraging environment for them to learn and flourish. You will provide opportunities for children who need a safe space outside of home and who need adults around them who provide both a nurturing, encouraging and supportive environment. You will be responsible for teaching a range of subjects to all students throughout the school, these subjects would not require subject specialism due to the level at which it will be taught. However, you will be someone who is able to adapt their creativity across different subjects.
