TeacherActive is excited to be working with a mainstream primary school based in Bristol. The school is enthusiastic about delivering quality learning opportunities to their students whilst similarly providing a vibrant, welcoming and safe place for children to learn and play in. Academically the school maintains high expectations, achieving a good Ofsted rating in 2023. The school grounds also offer extensive opportunities to get back to nature including sports pitches, play apparatus, an allotment garden, woodland areas and a willow story circle.
The school is looking for an energetic Learning Support Assistant/ LSA on a long term basis, with the possibility of a permanent position for a suitable Learning Support Assistant. The successful applicant will have experience working in a support role across Key Stage 1/ KS1 and Key Stage 2/ KS2, including supporting those with additional educational and behavioural needs. This role is key to assisting our teachers in maintaining classroom routines and managing student behaviour.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:
Level 3 in a relevant qualification
Experience in support roles in a primary setting
A positive outlook on student development and engagement
