We've got an exciting opportunity for a Lead Agile Programme Manager to join our DWP Digital community.

We're delivering a once in a generation transformation of public services. You will work with multiple suppliers to support and manage complex commercial relationships, and work with multiple delivery teams full of the UK's best tech talent.

You'll be working on our Digital Assisted Services Team.

As our Lead Agile Programme Manager, you will work closely with Deputy Director, Lead Delivery Manager, Product Manager, Technical Lead, and our Business Management Team.

And lots of other digital experts and stakeholders. You'll build and nurture relationships that are big enough to get the job done.

You will lead the team. You'll empower and support your people to keep headcount, budget, and commercial vehicles on track, to work with supplier and manage business needs as they evolve.

You'll lead on the co-creation of Statements of Work for supplier teams with Delivery Managers and Supplier Management.

You will support teams in the use of JIRA and Confluence in ways which assure both value delivery and appropriate reporting.

We have brilliant Senior Agile Programme Managers here. You'll lead them to deliver planning activities which make sure we have consolidated plan that is complete and meaningful.

You set the standards. This includes encouraging consistency or compliance, making sure programme artefacts are complete, up to date and available.

You'll also support our Agile Delivery Managers to remove blockers, actively support retrospective action and create the right environment for the multidisciplinary team to succeed.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

Experience of agile and lean practices- helping high performing teams to continuously improve
Share information and setting standards for other teams, using tooling such as Atlassian suite and Mural.
You will have experience of: digital funding models, drafting contracts / statements of work, cost models, resourcing, and budget management in line with best practice.
Ability to build relationships with a broad range of teams and individuals including business management, supplier management, technical teams, product managers, senior stakeholders and third-party sub-contractors and suppliers.
Communicating with others in a clear, honest, and enthusiastic way to build trust.
You're able to lead a continual planning process (coping with rapid reprioritisation) in a complex environment.
Support the professional development of Senior Agile Programme Managers, engaging and networking across the wider profession.

In return for your skills, we offer competitive pay of up to £77,740.

You'll be eligible for a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions of 27.9%, worth up to £21,000 a year.
