NHS Supply Chain are recruiting for an Audit & Assurance Manager
The purpose of the Audit & Assurance Manager is to design and lead the delivery of a risk-based programme of audit activities that provides assurance over SCCLs contracts with the Category Management Service Providers (CMSPs), logistics provider and IT provider. These contracts have been established on an open book basis.
As SCCL is funded by public money it is important we regularly assess providers to ensure they are complying with the financial requirements of the contracts, as well as other key contractual obligations. Ultimately, audit activities are designed to either recover amounts incorrectly charged or identify control improvements to ensure providers are well managed.
The Audit & Assurance Manager also leads work designed to assess whether SCCLs key internal controls are well designed and operating effectively, including both key controls for each function as well as for core SCCL policies and principal risks. In addition, the Audit & Assurance Manager also works closely with other parts of the Governance, Assurance & Legal function (GAL) (e.g. the Risk Manager and the Compliance & Quality Manager) to ensure risk, compliance and assurance activities are joined up and present a consistent view of risks, issues, controls and priorities to stakeholders.
