Job summary
Our client, United Utilities, is looking to recruit a Project Coordinator the role will be based at their Warrington siteJob Purpose
* Support the Digital Services Senior Project Manager in managing and delivering digital service/IT/Bus Change projects safely and to time, cost and quality requirements
* Take ownership for digital product work packages under the guidance of the Digital Services Senior Project Manager
* Assist with developing and managing project documentation, ensuring governance and processes are followed, project financial management adhered to and assist with Health and Safety planning and activity
* Manage internal UU resources and third-party resources including scheduling contractors to ensure successful time outcomes are achieved
Job Accountabilities
* To ensure the Health, Safety and Wellbeing management framework is embedded in all activities and our Health and Safety belief statement is a reality
* Work as part of the Digital Delivery and Process Excellence team to drive through continual change and improvement in the way we deliver change for United Utilities
* Support Governance and Assurance processes within the Digital Delivery and Process Excellence (DDPE) function
* Assist with the impact of change and ensuring key project documentation is updated in line with change e.g., Project Management Plan etc
* Contribute and support project reviews and input to monthly reports on cost, schedule, risk, quality etc
* Assist in recording and documenting the project requirements and scope using the appropriate documentation depending upon delivery approach and methodology
* Create and maintain trackers for monitoring and controlling progress on multi-site projects
* Attend and on occasions chair project and third-party supplier meetings and document the outcomes
* Assist with the co-ordination and output of regulatory evidence packs as required
* Assist in registering assets in accordance with the company's asset registration and de-registration process
* Assist with the production and data analysis of project, programme, and product management information
* Raise payment requests and manage orders ensuring contractors are paid in a timely manner, subject to ratification that works are complete and to an acceptable standard
* Maintain financial logs within a project for tracking actual, committed, and remaining costs
* Management of resource orders (raising, amending, and closing orders)
* Liaise with Third Parties and Contractors to ensure activities are coordinated
* Telemetry end to end process co-ordination including the facilitation and resolution of technical questions
* Identification, analysis, and management of third-party risks
* Lead the scheduling process within a project including site booking/cancellations/amendments and problem management
* Raise, expedite, and track hardware / equipment orders with suppliers where required
* Communication and contribution to resource management database updates
* Identification of potential issues under/over utilisation at a project and programme level
* Assist with the collation and issue of Pre-construction Information (PCI) to third party contractors
* Assist in the management of Health and Safety planning, review RAMS, act as PCW etc for projects where appropriate to ensure CDM compliance is achieved, and all go home Safe and Well
Knowledge and Skills
* Project Management Certification (Introductory Level)
* Demonstrable track record of delivery of projects throughout the project life cycle in a supportive role to the Project Manager
* Ability to influence decision makers and build effective relationships within Digital Services, the wider organisation and with external Third-Party suppliers.
* Able to engage in effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, and have the ability to change communication style to suit different situations
* Flexibility and adaptability to respond rapidly to unexpected events, having the ability to develop creative solutions to problems and implement within the team
* Able to demonstrate own time management and workload interface planning.
* A good understanding of different Project Management methodologies and the activities and timescales required to effectively deliver a project
* Good analytical skills with a focus on attention to detail
* Excellent knowledge of telemetry, control, PLC's, SCADA, instrumentation and automation systems deployed in the water industry
* Working knowledge of the STS Telemetry system with the ability to navigate around the system
* SAP Systems knowledge, including SAP CORE, raising and clearing orders
* Strong commercial management skills and experience, and a demonstrable track record of managing third party suppliers to time, budget, and quality outcomes
* Awareness of relevant legal requirements including Health and Safety, Data Protection and GDPR
* Formally trained in appropriate health and safety regulations (i.e. CDM, UU Works Authorisation etc).
* Proficient in MS software packages including MS Project and Visio.
