Warehouse & Materials ManagerReporting to Warehouse & Logistics Manager
Based South Yorkshire
Position Overview:
The Warehouse & Materials Manager will be based at the Sembcorp warehouse located in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Managing a small team of Material Co-ordinators, you will ensure that engineering spares and consumables are stored safely and securely and maintain accurate records of all materials and warehouse transactions. With a proven track record of materials and personnel management for similar businesses in the energy, petrochemical or manufacturing sector, you will be tenacious and persistent and use best practise to ensure that all stocked parts are stored appropriately and all Global procedures for movement of parts are strictly adhered to. The position will require the ability to work under pressure and communicate at all levels to ensure that the business is never subject to stock-out situations. You will be a versatile team player with a specific focus on enhancing service levels to internal customers, working flexibly with colleagues to ensure that the whole team succeeds. Working in a fast-paced environment you must be resourceful, enthusiastic and dedicated to meeting the business needs, which may at times include covering the duties of colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Day-to-day management of a small team of Material Co-ordinators, including authorisation of timesheets, holiday requests and setting priorities for daily duties.
* Participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota (currently every third week).
* Work with the Material Buyer to monitor stock-outs and action accordingly to mitigate risk of unavailability.
* Maintain the SAP Material Master records for stock parts, ensuring that manufacturers part numbers, part descriptions, images, max/min levels etc are accurately entered onto SAP for all stock records.
* Work with the Materials Buyer to arrange stock audits and identify potential new suppliers.
* Maintain an accurate inventory of all COSHH-related materials and ensure that MSDS are available and considered for all applicable stocked parts.
* Co-ordinate cycle counts in accordance with Stores department programmes.
* To effectively organise workload to meet the demands of the business.
* To contribute towards meeting business objectives and targets.
* To develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues in the business.
* To work in accordance with the businesses policies and procedures at all times.
* To comply with health and safety requirements.
Skills & Experiemce:
* To have at least 3 years experience working as a warehouse manager.
* Must be able to demonstrate sound understanding of stock inventory control processes using appropriate software SAP preferable.
* Must be I.T literate and proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of tools
* Current Forklift Truck license
* A general ability to communicate at all levels.
* To be numerate and literate
* A team working ability
* Must have a full clean driving licence.
