Job summary
Site Manager - Wanted!Thatcher Associates are currently working with a established and regarded Building and Construction Business who are looking for a experienced and driven Site Manager to join their team. Initially you can expect to oversee the construction of Buildings from £1 - £30 million pounds primarily within the healthcare, data and residential sectors.
The Role
Projects are managed by a regional office, however, their schemes can be national they have numerous jobs starting in the London/ Slough area so if you are local to this area or happy to lodge in this region we encourage you to apply. All living expenses will be covered on top of salary, car allowance and package if you are a manager that will require lodgings.
Responsibilities
* Planning and estimating for budgets and timescales;
* Contribute to work planning, and brief project teams, contractors and suppliers;
* Passing any extra work to be done within set timescales;
* Supply information to resolve disputes if they arise;
* Identify areas of concern and finding solutions for existing contracting processes;
* Overseeing health and safety is being implemented to appropriate standards.
* Manage the on site management team and oversee sub-contractors.
Skills
* You will have demonstrable experience leading, motivating a multi-skilled trades team together;
* Able to think outside the box and to react quickly to issues that need resolving;
* A good organisational skill set;
* Being able to deliver quality to timescales required;
* A good knowledge and understanding of construction and issues such as building regulations and planning;
* Commercial awareness and an ability to establish and maintain good working relationships;
* Ability to work both on your own and as part of a team;
* A culture of continuous improvement to support.
Essential Requirements
* SMSTS;
* CSCS CARD;
* First Aid Card;
* HNC/ HND or construction degree or equivalent qualification or other recognized construction qualifications
* Ideally currently working for a contractor or house builder looking to work for an established regional building outfit that offers career development and a supportive working environment.
* Proven experience working on projects of at least £2 million in value as a Site Manager
* Exposure to new build projects.
* Has previously worked and managed projects in UK
