Job summary
Finegreen are supporting a large NHS Trust in the appointment of a senior Estates professional, this person will have extensive experience of healthcare Capital Programmes due to the complexity of the current workload.Key responsibilities will include:
Hold responsibility for the efficient and effective delivery of the Trusts Capital programme;
This will include a lead role in the design and construction phases of new build and refurbishment projects whilst also providing valuable input at the planning stage to support the development of concept designs and the project brief;
The role is challenging, and it is expected that the candidate is experienced in stakeholder engagement, chairing project meetings, budget management, implementing appropriate procurement and contract routes, project team appointment, contract administration and programme management;
Ensure appropriate management of all phases of the construction project including procurement and contract;
Lead the development and implementation of relevant best practice as related to Capital Schemes to support the overall aims and objectives of the Trust, in light of national, regional and local policies;
Planning and monitoring of capital schemes and preparing progress reports for a range of Board and stakeholder groups;
Chairing design meetings, working groups, project team meetings and any other required meeting as directed by the Deputy Director of Estates;
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience designing and project managing large schemes in a healthcare environment;
Experience of dealing with adversarial situations, P22 or P23 experience;
Sound knowledge of building services found within a healthcare environment;
Delivery of Capital projects and a thorough understanding of the Project Lifecycle;
Must display extensive knowledge of health and safety legislation and all relevant HTM, HBN and Approved Codes of Practice.
