Supply Desk are proud to be working with a nurturing and inclusive school in the Hertfordshire area. The school is in the heart of Watford and is currently looking for a Qualified Early Years Teacher
THE SCHOOL

We believe that young children learn most effectively through play and active learning and provide the ideal environment to enable them to do this. We offer educational experiences which develop their confidence, independence, and competence.
THE ROLE
- Keeping children interested and engaged by way of including play and activity into lesson planning
- Creating an ideal environment for children to explore what their learning through different sense
- Taking AM and PM registers and handing out snacks to pupils during break time.
- Part time lunch duty
- Ensuring all play equipment is properly put away after breaks and lunch
- Keeping pupils interested and engaged whilst having patience and adaptable teaching styles for students who learn at different levels.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Bring previous experience as an Early Years Teacher, showcasing a deep understanding of the developmental needs of children aged 3-5, (NEWLY QUALIFIED WILL BE CONSIDERED)
- Exhibit a delightful sense of humour, fostering effective communication and connection with both young learners and colleagues.
- Demonstrate genuine enthusiasm and consistently maintain a positive attitude towards early childhood education.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to enhance the early learning environment.
- Approach teaching and learning in the early years with creativity, excitement, and an understanding of play-based methodologies.
- Skilfully tailor activities and learning experiences based on individual interests, promoting personalized and engaging early childhood education.
- Develop and implement inclusive lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of young learners.
- Maintain a patient and nurturing approach, complemented by effective behaviour management skills
