We are recruiting on behalf of a Specialist education School for children and young people living with Social, Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD), Special Educational Needs (SEN) and learning disabilities. You will be joining a school with modern facilities creating a special environment for children to learn and flourish. The students have complex needs typically related to Aspergers Syndrome, Autism, and other conditions. They utilise high-quality teaching with therapy to provide personalised support to the children. The classrooms are modern, well-equipped and they have lots of other facilities for the children to enjoy. The school also supports their Young People for life after School and preparing them for employment.
Duties
You will work alongside the Head Teacher in helping to develop the school in accordance with their values and their development plans. You will provide leadership and take overall responsibility for behaviour and safeguarding across the school including Designated Safeguarding Lead. This will include leading on Behaviour and attitudes, personal development attendance, well being and safeguarding our pupils welfare. Your Senior Leadership will ensure you play a key role in the school becoming an outstanding school with Ofsted.
Criteria
* At minimum of 5 years proven track record Teaching.
* Knowledge or Training in Specialist Education / Social/Emotional needs.
* Experience with SEMH and/or ASC Education Provision.
* A recognised teacher training qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE/QTS or QTS/Teaching Diploma).
* A proven track record in teaching with a SEN environment.
* Excellent IT Skills
* Experience in a leadership role and raising standards.
