Job summary
Newstaff Employment services are currently recruiting for a Picker operator with FLT licence to work a night contract in Welwyn garden city.Monday to Thursday 18.00 till 06.00am 48 hours per week.
40 hours will be paid at £12.00 p/h 8 at £18.00 p/h plus premium night shift bonus.
duties to include:
1. Picker The Picker Operator must be able to batch to both extruders which such efficiency that the Extrusion part of the Manufacturing
process is not compromised by lack of batched material.
2. PULSE RATE CALIBRATION OF BIN/SILOS - The batching operator will carry out auto calibrations of Feed Bins / Silos ,
inputting the resultant Pulse Rate as per the companies production procedure.
3. STOCK ROTATION - The Batching Operator will ensure that all Vitamins and Minerals are used using an F.I.F.O system (first in first out).
If the date cannot be seen an in order to maintain this adequately the Operator may need to additionally mark the bags with a clearly visible date upon their arrival.
4. CLEANING The Batching Operator will ensure that the Batching Floor is kept free from dust/ broken pallets and any residual Raw Materials
that may be present on the floor and ledges as result of spillages etc. Frequent attention must be paid to the area around the bag tip point. The vacuum system must be used wherever possible. & Tower and stairs cleaning, delegated levels.
5. MONTHLY CLEANDOWN Every month the Batching Operator will clear the entire Batching floor of all pallets and clean the whole area in one go.
This will provide an opportunity to treat any infestation that may be found.The Batching Operator will make a record of the clean down to provide evidence of it having taken place
6. STOCK CHECK Once per week the Batching Operator will count and record the amount of stock relating to each Raw Material present on the
batching floor.
7. PREPARATION OF AREA FOR FUMIGATION
8. DOCUMENTATION - The Batching Operator will ensure that Quality records and other Production documentation are completed in real time and to
the frequency and accuracy required.
09. GRINDER OPERATION The Batching Operator must be able to run the grinder skills will include, the setting up, online running,
clean down and unblocking.
10. Other Duties as required by senior management, and to help out in other areas of factory when batching demand allows.
