Job summary
We have an exciting, newly created position become available for a Stock Controller working for a well-established manufacture based in TelfordThe successful company is fast paced with newly introduced products all designed inhouse. The role will be varied with the stock coordinator role being stand alone in some duties but also be required to work well in a team
Main duties for the position will include
* Issue and process picking lists and work orders to production manager
* Review stock usage on BOMs, issue stock and post WOs to production team
* Book in stock using Sage 200
* Review open stock orders and liaise with suppliers, chase suppliers, manage and update stock due dates on Sage and inform the team of changes.
* Rearrange stock in the warehouse to a more efficient layout.
* Manage Sage stock list, ensure all uniformed, obsolete stock, implement minimum stock levels based on buying patterns and regular reporting to the Team.
* Stocktake at regular intervals.
* Review unused stock and liaise with team to use it
* Review buying patterns and implement more efficient processes.
* Support with buying and look for new suppliers.
* Assess stock purchases based on value.
* Review project work with the team to pre empt stock requirements.
* Amend stock usage based on first offs and WO's, update BOM's and re issue to sales orders.
* Manage WIP stock and CNC sheet usages to ensure we have live stock values and levels.
* Process completed works orders.
* Flag and investigate anomalies in stock usage on WOs or stock levels from regular checks
* Correct BOMs on Sage to reflect completed works orders.
* Review regular stock and non-stock purchase orders with the team to ensure all stock is captured and analysed ensuring stock is valued correctly and landed costs captured
* Support admin roles during absences.
The right candidate:
* Must have previous experience working within a stock role in a busy manufacturing department
* Must have working knowledge of Sage 200
* Be well organised
* Purchasing experience would be advantageous
* Have excellent communication skills
* Be looking to join a busy manufacturing team
In return, the company are offering.
* Salary £26,000 - £28,000 per annum, plus Profit related Bonus
* Working hours 7am 4pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 7am to 1 pm
