Job summary
Accounts Assistant Mitcheldean to £28,000 - £31,000Global CTS is recruiting for a cutting-edge financial services provider, offering a suite of funding, back-office, and technological solutions to empower businesses in operating thriving and lucrative ventures. We are currently seeking an adept Accounts professional to enhance the Finance team. You will collaborate with the Head of Finance, overseeing various finance functions such as generating management accounts for each entity, and conducting reconciliations for company and customer balance sheets.
Key Responsibilities
* Working closely with the Head of Finance to deliver accurate management accounts for each company within the group.
* Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations each company, including customer/balance sheet reconciliations.
* Responsible for weekly processing
* Produce, reconcile, and pay customer and company PAYE (TAXSOP) each monthly
* Maintain and manage fixed asset register and post monthly depreciation
* Produce quarterly VAT Returns for each company
* Produce, reconcile, and pay customer VATSOP & SA VATSOP
* Responsible for administration of internal monthly payroll, including preparation of journal and internal payroll reconciliation
Key Skills
* Ideally will be AAT qualified up to Level 2 or have 3 years practical experience
* Methodical and drive to succeed approach to problem resolution, with a focus on self-ownership
* Be able to work consistently to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent organisational/admin skills with the ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, and Word
* Experience of working with a group of companies and intercompany accounts (desirable, but not essential).
* Experience of working with accounting software (Sage 200 is desirable but not essential)
