Job summary
Our client, a well known and respected Engineering organisation, has an opportunity for a Mechanical Fitters to join their team, as part of ongoing expansion across the business due to an ever growing client base across Electro-mechanical Engineering.Reporting to your Team Leader, your role will be to work as part of a team both in our clients workshop and on customer sites. You must be able to dismantle and assemble a range of rotating equipment, specifically pumps. Occasionally working on customers sites around the UK but primarily within the Northwest of the UK, you will need to be flexible and ready to deal with different customers challenges and problems which will change from day to day.
Applicants must be flexible as from time to time you may be required to stay overnight to fulfil customer requirements, attend training and must hold a full UK driving license.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES (DAY TO DAY):
Your routine duties may vary, but will be expected to:
Use of all standard workshop machinery
Accurate recording of information and observations on internal job cards
Dismantling and re-assembling of rotating machinery and equipment
Ensuring tools and equipment are correctly stored and maintained.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
Assisting with any other duties as and when required
Attending Customer sites as and when required
Attending relevant internal meetings as and when required
Attending training courses either internally or externally as and when required
Ensuring continuous improvement within the Workshop in line with the business objectives
Participation in the Workshop On-Call Rota
ABILITIES / SKILLS REQUIRED:
Good understanding of the Electro-Mechanical Industry
Good communication skills
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
Time served or have at least five years commercial industrial experience
Must have experience of rotating equipment, specifically pumps
Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable:
Experience of Dynamic Balancing
Knowledge of testing rotating equipment, both electrically and mechanically
