Job summary
Registered Childrens Residential Home Manager*****Responsible to: Operations Manager/ Responsible Individual and Director
Schedule: Monday Friday (Can be flexible with assurances that the home has sufficient management oversight and needs are continually meet meet)
Location: Exeter
Qualifications: Level 3 Children and young people, workforce Diploma or equivalent. Willingness to work towards there Level 5 diploma within an allocated time frame.
Desirable: NVQ 4 in Leadership and Management for care services Level 4 Health and social care, Level 5 Diploma for leadership for Children & young people.
Experience/Skills: Within the last 5 years, Worked, for at least 3 years, with Children and Young People in a residential setting.
Working as a Children's Home Registered Manager, you must be willing to go above and beyond for the children and young people, ensuring that they have an experience of childhood that they can reflect upon and carry with them into adulthood. Your team must be driven by a shared ambition to ensure that the children and young people have an experience of childhood that they deserve, one filled with fun, laughter, friendship and discovery.
To manage the day to day running of the childrens home and ensure that it meets the expectations and standards as set out in its Statement of Purpose.
To ensure that the home is consistently meeting standards set by the company and set out in legislation (the Childrens Homes
Manage Time efficiently. Be able to advocate for children and young people and ensure they receive the services and support they are entitled too.
Ability to manage and be responsible for the homes finances and budgets.
Confidence to effectively manage challenging situations.
Be able to lead, coach and inspire a work force.
Skill in building rapport and relationships with a range of Children, young people and their families
Work well as part of team, as well as on our initiative when required.
Be able to work collaboratively and successfully nurture these professional relationships.
Write Clear, detailed and analytical reports to a high standard.
Effective communicate and interpersonal skills.
Communicate in a non-judgemental and professional manner.
Adapt to changing situations and environments.
Confident with using IT including Office applications and web browsers.
Knowledge: Understanding and ability to implement: Childrens home regulations 2015 and how these are practiced within a residential setting.

Physical requirements: Full UK Driving Licence and use of vehicle for Business Purpose
