Job summary
A well-established Financial Services organisation are looking for an experienced SQL Database Administrator to join their talented database team - whilst they have offices in London and Berkshire, this role can be fully remote, so is open to candidates based anywhere across the UK.The initial focus of the role will be the support, maintenance and administration of their on-prem SQL Server estate, which covers a number environments and multiple SQL versions from 2012 through to 2019, and are a mixture of both in-house and supplier-developed environments.
As such, this role will require strong competencies in monitoring, reporting, performance tuning, ETL, high availability, disaster recover and release management.
You will also participate in the design, planning and future migration to Azure-based solutions, making this a brilliant opportunity for someone who is looking for an opportunity to develop their skills with Azure technologies!
Requirements:
Strong experience as a SQL Server DBA, including maintaining database changes from Development to Production, following release management processes
Strong experience with PowerShell and T-SQL scripting
Understanding of ETL and batch processes, using replication and SSIS
Some experience creating reports with either SSRS or Power BI
Microsoft Certifications would be desirable but not essentialBenefits:
