Wks 1 & 3: Mon, Wed & Fri

with minimum of 24hrs notice
£11.50 gross hourly rate taxable where applicable
Leisure mileage expenses 40p/mile

+Minimum of 5.6 weeks pro rota holiday pay/year
Salary paid 4 weekly by BANK TRANSFER only

Important Information
It would be advantageous to have an awareness & understanding about how allergies/sensitivities can impact on someone's life
The lady's home is a chemical, fragrance & smoke/vape free environment due to severe sensitivity to chemical & scented odours
You MUST be willing to avoid wearing such or subjecting your employer to these i.e. you can NOT wear anything SCENTED (e.g. perfume, hairspray, laundry products etc.), as this could have an adverse effect on her health
A NON-SMOKER / NON-VAPER is ESSENTIAL for these health reasons

You MUST be up to date with COVID & other vaccinations
&
You MUST be willing to test for COVID before each & every session
COVID tests will be provided at no cost to the employee
Job Profile
To assist highly intelligent, witty, articulate, young minded 51 year old lady,
who has limited abilities with various aspects of daily living including meal preparation/cooking & domestic duties, in her own home
Also socialization visits to animal sanctuaries, National Trust properties, garden centres and TV & film conventions
Entrance fees are always covered by the employer
Other interests include Art & Crafts, Sci-fi & Fantasy
Essential Criteria
Experience of caring is not essential but would be advantageous if only for a family member
Be a caring sympathetic female & possess a lot of common sense
Be honest trustworthy reliable & flexible
You MUST have a full driving licence, business class insurance & be willing to use your own car to take the lady out
It is your responsibility to acquire the business class vehicle insurance before escorting your employer out of her home in your vehicle
Business class vehicle insurance costs will NOT be met by employer
Your car must be big enough to take a standard portable folding wheelchair
with removable leg extensions, along with at least one backseat passenger as well as the lady herself
You must be able to load/unload the wheelchair & leg extensions,
in/out of your car, to assist with transfers & to push the wheelchair around
Possess empathy & willingness to learn about your employer's disability & not discriminate
Understand the confidential nature of the work
Be of a friendly, understanding personality with good conversational skills but not overly talkative or loud & a good listener
Be able to take instructions & at times work on your own initiative, once you know the routine
Must have no objection to cats
Must be committed & dedicated to helping & improving another's life
To wear suitable attire & footwear to work
Have a dedicated work ethic
It is expected that all of your employer's possessions will be treated with care, avoidable damage may be charged for
