We are looking for a calm and empathetic SEN teaching assistant who is experienced in supporting KS2 and KS4 ages and above. You will be supporting children aged between 3-19 in a school based in Huddersfield. At randstad you can expect a consultant to support and guide you with any queries you may have. Roles & Responsibilities:
Establish strong relationships with staff and families
Ability to assist learning in individual and small group settings
Skillfully engage in communication and cooperation with the classroom instructor
Display patience, empathy, and effective communication while interacting with children
Adapt teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and individual requirements
some familiarity with behaviour management strategies to promote positive conduct is preferred
Requirements:
The ability to evaluate educational needs and actively seek out creative teaching methods
Willingness and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
Previous experience working with a diverse range of additional needs
The capacity to provide individualised support and assistance with educational tasks
A strong understanding of child development and the learning process
Possession of an Enhanced DBS check on the update service or being willing to obtain one
Good knowledge in the national Key Stage Curriculum
