Job Title: Capital AccountantLocation: Harrop House, Bury New Road, Manchester, M25 3BL (Hybrid - onsite 2 days a week and maybe more in the beginning for training)

About the Trust
GMMH head office is based at Prestwich, Manchester and it is easily accessible via both car and public transport. There is onsite parking and additional visitor car parking (fees will apply). It has an onsite restaurant where staff are eligible for a discount. There is also a café where drinks and light snacks are available.
What youll be responsible for:
* Provide support to the financial accountant in respect of all financial accounting aspects of the Trusts capital programme, fixed assets and leases to ensure that the Trusts monthly financial position and annual statutory accounts can be reported in line with accounting standards and DoH guidance.
* Provide accurate and timely monthly monitoring information in respect of expenditure against the Trusts capital programme.
* Maintain the trusts fixed asset register and provide accurate and timely information to the Financial Accountant and Assistant Director of Finance.
* Support the Financial Accountant by taking a lead on accounting for leases under IFRS 16 by maintaining the Trusts register of leases and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
* Provide advice to colleagues in respect of the interpretation of IFRS16 regarding contracts and arrangements which may meet the definition of a lease.
Youll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
Youll have the following skills/experience:
* Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
* Microsoft office skills- Outlook, Word, and Excel
* Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
* Management or Financial Accounting experience (mandatory)
* NHS Experience
* AAT or NVQ 4 qualified or Part Qual CIMA
* Proven high level relationship management skills and be able to talk about Finance in a clear way to non-finance colleagues (Essential)
This role may require you to show evidence of education to Degree level or Professional HR Qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
