Job summary
Seven Social Care is looking for a residential worker to fill an exclusive opportunity in Normanton.We have opportunities available for up to 12 months and the pay is £17.76.
Initial contract is 6 to 8 weeks.
The Hiring manager is looking for someone who can work 37 hours a week (various shifts available from Monday to Sunday).
The shifts would be:
Late (3 10)
Waking Night (10 7)
The role:
The Childrens Home is for disabled children and young people provided by Wakefield Council. It provides long term care for children who need a permanent placement and for whom a family-based placement has either been assessed as not appropriate or has not yet been identified. Care is provided for children and young people of both sexes up to their eighteenth birthday and who have a learning disability. They may also have a physical or sensory disability.
Key Responsibilities:
To work towards the Statement of Purpose and aims of the childrens homes.
To promote the development of children and young people, to meet their assessed needs through the provision of appropriate emotional, physical and material care.
To participate in the development, implementation and monitoring of individual childrens care plans and undertake the role of key worker for individual children and young people.
To contribute to the assessment, planning and decision making processed for individual children and young people.
To maintain up-to-date case records and care plans in respect of individual children and young people.
