Responsibilities of an SEN Teacher:
Conduct thorough assessments to identify the unique educational needs and abilities of students with special needs.
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's requirements.
Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons using various teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles.
Modify curriculum materials, teaching techniques, and classroom environments to create an inclusive learning experience for all students.
Collaborate with teaching assistants, educational psychologists, and parents to ensure a cohesive and supportive approach to students' learning.
Manage and address challenging behaviors, implement strategies to foster positive behavior, and create a safe and supportive classroom environment.Requirements needed to become a SEN Teacher:
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals
Passion for inclusive education and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of students
