Job summary
Gap Personnel is working with are client in Norwich City centre, a leading company in their field are recruiting a Cleaning Services Chargehand on a Full Time, temporary to permanent basis.The Chargehand position for cleaning services will provide a hands-on operational role responsible for, and acting as, a key support to the Cleaning Operation.
Working closely with the Team Leaders you will monitor cleaning standards are being achieved and take corrective action when required. At times you may be asked to undertake additional duties in the absence of the allocated team leaders to provide cover.
Pay £13.25 Per Hour
Working Hours: 0800AM-1600PM 37hrs 5 in 7 Working a minimum of 1 day at a weekend per month to provide management coverage across contracted services.
The candidate duties will be:
To supervise and work alongside the cleaning team maintaining all areas to an agreed standard.
Complete quality performance monitoring and act where performance has dropped.
Supporting your line manager by assisting with day-to-day planning and allocation of the available employees, equipment, and materials.
Maintain stock control across all sites using the set procedures.
Ensure that equipment and vehicles are used effectively and are maintained correctly. Report faulty machinery to Management Team.
Carry out monthly quality control auditing for all employees, providing feedback to individuals on actions arising and ensuring these are resolved within set time periods.
Ensure all required site paperwork is accurately completed.
Identify service improvements and contribute to their implementation once agreed.
Commitment to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality initiatives, and practices.
Report any cleaning difficulties to Management Team.
Deliver toolbox talks ensuring there is a good understanding of these by all staff.
Experience
Previous cleaning experience.
Experience in the use of a wide range of cleaning equipment and materials
Skills/Abilities
Full UK driving license.
Excellent verbal communication skills and basic PC usage.
Able to work unsupervised and as part of a team, delegate duties and motivate staff.
Able to identify and continuously monitor levels of performance standard, taking corrective action Where required.
Proven organizational and timekeeping skills.
