We have exceptional opportunities for Compliance Monitoring Officers to join our brand-new compliance team based in Gloucester or Bristol with hybrid working. These exciting openings are looking for compliance professionals who are ready to take the next step in their career in supporting and influencing the start-up of this team.Joining us you'll have the unique opportunity to help build a compliance programme from the ground up. You'll play a vital role in helping shape our compliance culture. Working with a team of experienced professionals to develop and implement a comprehensive compliance monitoring programme, conduct thematic and regular compliance reviews, identify and assess regulatory and conduct risks, produce reporting on compliance performance, champion good consumer outcomes and provide guidance and support to management on compliance matters.

What you will be doing:
Partnering with the Senior Compliance Monitoring Manager to:
Develop the annual Compliance Monitoring Assurance Plan.
Develop and agree the scope of allocated reviews, including an effective test programme to assess regulatory compliance and control design and operation.
Deliver complex assurance reviews, including the planning, testing and reporting phases.
Communicate review findings both verbally and in written reports.
Handling objections and challenging conversations.
Developing strong and collaborative relationships with business areas.What You Need:
Experience in 2nd Line Compliance Monitoring or Internal Audit ideally secured within an insurance brokerage or other Financial Services.
Strong understanding of regulatory, compliance and conduct risks.
Resilience to complete monitoring reviews, handle objections and challenging conversations.
A keen focus on good client outcomes.
Communication skills, both written and verbal.
Deep analytical skills.
