Our school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Technician to join the team. The successful candidate will have genuine enthusiasm for teaching food technology, a deep understanding of culinary principles, and the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Work alongside a teacher to plan and deliver high-quality food technology lessons that nurture practical skills, creativity, and a love for culinary arts.
Cultivate a supportive learning environment that encourages hands-on experience, critical thinking, and a lifelong appreciation for food and cooking.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic and practical development.
Manage and maintain equipment as well as food stores to insure every leasson runs smootly
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall improvement of the food technology department.
Actively participate in culinary-related extracurricular activities and contribute to the wider school community.
Qualifications:
Relevant experience in food technology education.
Demonstrated experience as a Food Technology Technician at the secondary school level.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to stay current with educational best practices.
