Senior Business Analyst (Glasgow, Hybrid)Head Resourcing is excited to collaborate with a prominent financial services company in Scotland, seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join their Operations function as a Senior Business Analyst. This role involves working across various business areas, contributing to the definition of both business and IT changes.
The Senior Business Analyst will be instrumental in assessing and refining prioritised business processes, exploring innovative IT advancements to elevate customer and colleague solutions, and presenting comprehensive insights to a wide spectrum of stakeholders. Collaborating with users and project stakeholders, the successful candidate will define solutions, designs, success criteria, and implement robust testing strategies and plans.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate business systems and user needs in collaboration with solution users, project stakeholders, departmental leaders, and executives to grasp current operating models and areas necessitating improvement.
Solicit requirements from colleagues spanning various business segments for ongoing and new projects, bridging the liaison between the IT Development Team and business units.
Document requirements, define scope and objectives transparently, validating positions and ensuring comprehensive support for proposed solutions from pertinent stakeholders.
Supervise the generation of Business Requirement/Specification documents, ensuring alignment with established standards.
Instigate and enforce standardised business analysis processes, ensuring seamless integration within the team, with business and IT counterparts, and in other relevant spheres.
Facilitate smooth transitions from solution designs to benefit realization, ensuring alignment of operating models with agreed-upon solution designs and active participation in pivotal development tasks.
Monitor project outcomes and benefits, collaborating with stakeholders to assess business readiness and optimize benefits realization.
Qualifications and Skills:
5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst within a fast-paced, technology-driven financial services environment, preferably with expertise in Investment and Pensions.
Proven track record in defining and delivering customer-facing digital solutions utilizing both internal and third-party IT capabilities.
Keen attention to detail, analytical prowess, and outstanding collaboration skills spanning business stakeholders and change and IT teams.
Exceptional communication abilities, adept at elucidating complex operational components and presenting lucid, concise change proposals tailored to diverse business echelons and audiences.
Proficiency in both waterfall and agile methodologies, alongside technical certifications such as Prince, SAFE, and ISEB. Advanced proficiency in MS applications including Visio, SharePoint, Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Self-motivated, with strong initiative and capability to work efficiently under pressure with minimal supervision.
Passion for nurturing talent in the realm of business analysis.
Extensive experience in project initiation, planning, solution design, testing, implementation strategy, and execution.
