The below job description will outline this position of: Materials Planner

Typically, this person will ensure the supply of materials meet the production schedule and minimum stock levels to ensure operational and production continuity. Able to deliver efficient, effective and flexible solutions to meet production requirements.

Duties and responsibilities of the Materials Planner

* To ensure the supply of materials meets the production schedule.

* Manage and understand, the risk to the material supply plan to minimise the impact on the production schedule.

* Lead the implementation of modifications with the supply base to obsolete stock and ensure materials are readily available.

* Liaison with the team to ensure all inventory is recorded accuracy.

* Develop and maintain supply relationships, to help keep cost down.

* Use any MRP or IT system that is place, ensure that all the data is accurate and up to data, resolve any issues.

* Deliver regular statistical reports, and be able to analysis.

* Financial awareness, and a full understanding of hoe failure impacts the costs, production, and fulfilment.

* Implement processes to agreed standards and targets, identify areas that need improvement.

* Recovery any cost as required, due to the result of supplier liability.

Qualifications and requirement for the Materials Planner:

* Assertive, optimistic, and welcomes change.

* Self-motivate and able to work under pressure.

* Good communicator and maintain relationships.

* Strong interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

* Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.

Must have;

* Previous experience of material planning and coordinating from a manufacturing background.

* Strong knowledge of IT systems, including Microsoft excel, MRP (Material requirements planning) systems of similar
