Job summary
Main Tasks and Responsibilities* Maintain depot processes and procedures
* Responsible for maintaining a clean, tidy and organised working environment, appropriately stocked with consumables
* Maintenance of all plant and equipment in an organised and systematic way
* Responsible for maintaining equipment records
* Occasionally work at customer premises with Technicians
* Undertaking other duties not specifically stated above which, from time to time are necessary for the effective performance of the Company without altering the nature or level of responsibility involved
Person Specification
* Ability to carry out practical work to a high standard
* Experience of electrical / mechanical repair maintenance work
* Ability to follow standard procedures to ensure good quality result for our customers
* Ability to strictly follow Health and Safety procedures for own safety and the safety of others and to comply with legal obligations
* A good work ethic, natural optimism, enthusiasm and a positive can do attitude
* Able to supervise the work of a small team
* Ability to maintain a level of fitness appropriate to the role
* Full UK car driving licence holder
* 70% depot based and 30% on site (carpet cleaning, fire surveys and training others when needed, because we are dealing with unpredictable events, demand for our services varies and so a degree of flexibility will be required to enable us to meet customer needs).
About You
* Full UK car driving licence holder
* Self-motivated and able to organise and manage workflow in the department for which you are responsible
* Able to work in a structured and organised way, taking responsibility for following established working practices and procedures
* Good mechanical aptitude with experience in the maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment and the ability to problem solve
The main part of your role will be to maintain the equipment used by the Technicians, to make sure it is always available (in a state of readiness) and reliably maintained in accordance with standard procedures, but also the general organisation of the depot, including equipment audits.
You will report to both the Field Manager and Head of Production
This position has the opportunity to go permanent for the right person
