Food Production Machine Operator

Location: Rochester

Day Shift: 4 on 4 off | 6AM-6PM (1.5hr break): £21,372.50 PA

Night Shift: 4 on 4 off | 6PM-6AM (1.5hr break): £21,372.50 PA + night shift allowance £1,800 PA

Overview

Connect Personnel are currently recruiting permanent Food Manufacturing Machine Operators for a large company located in Medway Towns. You should have previous manufacturing experience; food manufacturing is advantageous but not essential.

Job Purpose

Machine Operators take care of all machine-specific functions such as configuring the equipment, operating the machines, and optimising machine capability. They ensure the machine works at its full capacity, oversee basic maintenance and hygiene as well as perform quality checks.

Responsibilities

To carry out pre-checks and cleaning tasks of the production line - Set the machine to production recipes - Preparing raw materials for production - Replenishing packaging and films to the production line during the shift including the stacking of trays - Set up batches of production as per the production plan - Manual handling including the stacking of finished goods - Maintain the hygiene of equipment.

Completing documentation throughout the shift - Replenish the PH - Record downtime and work with the team to help minimise this - Resolve machine stoppages - Achieve OEE and waste targets - Work as part of a team - Maintain health and safety and always adhere to policies and procedures - Contribute to and help implement continuous improvement, to enhance quality, efficiency, safety, and waste reduction - Help & assist in the training of others and identify own training needs - Any other ad-hoc duties as required.

Education

A certificate in basic food hygiene - Manual handling experience.

Technical Skills

Health and Safety awareness skills. - Ability to follow instructions and use own initiative - Excellent communication skills - IT literate.
