Position Overview:
This consultancy is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing team in Milton Keynes.
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions for a diverse range of projects.
These range from Data centres & Heritage to Defense or Healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Take a lead role in the mechanical design aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and sustainability goals.
Innovative Design: Drive innovation in mechanical design solutions, incorporating the latest technologies and best practices to optimize energy efficiency and sustainability.
Collaboration: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including architects, electrical engineers, and project managers, to deliver integrated and coordinated design solutions.
Client Engagement: Engage with clients to understand their requirements, provide technical expertise, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of mechanical design documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project specifications.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of industry regulations and standards, ensuring that all mechanical designs comply with relevant codes and guidelines.
Mentorship: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and learning-focused work environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, with a focus on building services and HVAC systems.
Proficient in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC simulation tools).
Strong knowledge of sustainable design principles and energy-efficient solutions.
Working Schedule:
This role follows a 9-day working fortnight, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. Additionally, the position offers a hybrid working model, with 3 days in the office per week.
