COMPANY DESCRIPTION, PROFILE AND SCOPE OF ROLE Accounts AssistantOur client is a world class, award winning, established and growing manufacturing business, with strong and sustained investment in people, capital and plant.
Working onsite, and with experience gained in a similar role, the successful candidate will be motivated and dynamic. You will carry out a variety of duties and responsibilities across Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Cash books. The role will also provide support to the Financial Controller and Accountant in respect of other ad hoc requests e.g. account analysis.
Experience gained within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous but not essential.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
PURCHASE LEDGER
* Responsible for timely and accurate processing of all purchase invoices for both U.K and International suppliers
* Adding goods receipts and invoices to the Raw Material and Packaging Excel spreadsheets on a daily basis
* Preparing weekly supplier payment runs
* Monthly Supplier Statement reconciliations
* Resolving purchase invoice and supplier queries
* Preparing accruals schedules for purchase invoices not processed for month end reporting
SALES LEDGER
* Responsible for timely and accurate processing of sales receipts
* Resolving sales invoice queries
CASH BOOKS
* Responsible for daily upkeep and reconciliations of our Sterling, Dollar and Euro bank accounts
* Maintaining Petty Cash book (payments, receipts and reconciliation)
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES Accounts Assistant - Manufacturing
* Must have demonstrable experience gained in a similar role (manufacturing environment advantageous but not essential)
* Good standard of education with evidence of maths and accounts related IT/Software
* High work standards / planning & organisation / attention to detail
* IT Literate with a good level of competency in excel
* Deadline / completion orientated
* Ability to effectively utilise other team members and departments to achieve objectives
* Desire to work in an office based team
* Good communication and problem solving skills
Details of Package:
Accounts Assistant Manufacturing £23,000 to £26,750 + Bonus (Up to 2k PA) + Benefits (Inc. life Assurance) Hours of work: 8am 5pm Monday to Friday (Daily lunch break is 1 hour)
