Job Description:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Conducting cost estimates and budget planning for projects in the residential, commercial, and hospitality sectors.
* Managing project finances, monitoring costs, and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
* Preparing and reviewing bills of quantities and tender documents.
* Assessing subcontractor quotations and negotiating contracts.
* Conducting regular site visits to ensure project cost control and compliance.
* Collaborating with project managers and other team members to maintain project progress and quality standards.
* Contributing to the overall success and profitability of projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within residential, commercial, and hospitality fit-out and refurbishment projects.
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts and relevant legislation.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
* Proficiency in using industry-standard software for quantity surveying.
* A keen eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure.
* Willingness to work in various locations around London.
