About Our Client
We are currently working with a leading horticultural business with several sites within the UK & abroad. They supply numerous product lines into the major retailers, that are sourced from around the world and are looking to strengthen the technical team by appointing a trials and innovation technologist.
About the Job
You will play an active role in the technical team supporting the Head of Technical to ensure innovation and trials are understood & undertaken effectively, you will lead the Science and Product innovation process, leading and coordinating activity on specific projects as assigned from start to finish & Support and manage specific internal and external project applications as required. Coordinate, materials sourcing and undertake routine and trial vaselife. analyse results and work with vaselife teams to produce relevant reports and presentations. Maintain good relationships with relevant researchers and keep up to date with relevant research.
The Ideal Candidate
You will ideally have experience working within a technical team within a fresh produce / horti business. Ideally have a science-based or Ag / horti degree, you will need the ability to multi-task, have good IT skills, you will have exceptional communication skills both written and verbal and be proficient in excel. The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment is a must-have.
This could be a great role for someone who has graduated and did a technical placement within their degree.
