Machine OperativeLocation - Meltham, Huddersfield
Salary - £10.56p/h
Working Hours - Days: Monday to Thursday 8am - 6pm, Friday 8am - 5pm
Duration - Temporary - Permanent

Duties:
To operate a range of manufacturing equipment and associated machines involving plastics and textiles. Manufacturing products in accordance with works orders and achieving consistently high product quality standards. Moving raw materials and finished goods with counterbalance FLT. To support all aspects of production and perform additional tasks as required.
Full training is provided.
Operating an Extrusion machines following the correct operating procedures to achieve specified target output and product quality standards
Using a counterbalance FLT with fork, boom and clamp attachments, safely move raw materials and finished goods to and from the machines
To work within and comply with the Company Health and Safety policy, procedure and risk assessments
To work in compliance with the Company's ISO 9001:2015 Quality System
Adopt Lean Manufacturing techniques and be proactively involved in improving process performance and quality
Follow the manufacturing instructions in accordance with the works orders to achieve the production plan and customer orders
Ensure that raw material, bought in goods and manufactured products meet ABG quality standards
Inform the Operations Manager or relevant supervisor of machine or product problems or potential problems
Manual handling
Accurate and timely completion of company paperwork
Maintain a clean and tidy environment
Work as part of a team showing flexibility to assist in other duties and tasks as required
Demonstrate excellent communication and assist in smooth shift handovers
Show flexibility in working hours, including overtime to meet business needs
Any other duties as required commensurate with the role and level of responsibility of the post
Essential Skills Required:
Previous experience operating industrial Machines.
FLT Counterbalance Licence holder
Previous experience operating an FLT counterbalance truck.
Experience operating a Laminating or Extrusion Machine is advantageous.
Awareness of Health and Safety
