As the Interim Operations Manager (Weekends), your role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the manufacturing facility during the weekend shifts. Your responsibilities are outlined as follows
Expected to make quick and effective decisions to address any operational challenges that may arise during the weekend shifts. Your ability to assess situations and make timely decisions will be crucial in maintaining operational efficiency.
You play a pivotal role in helping the company achieve its financial goals, which include an EBITDA target of £10 million and a reduction of £1 million in manufacturing variance by the end of the financial year. This involves implementing strategies and practices that contribute to cost control and revenue generation.
As an autonomous leader, you will be responsible for the weekend shifts and will not have the same rotating weekday operations managers as your counterparts. This autonomy means you must be self-reliant and able to take charge of the weekend operations.
Your primary focus will be to offer essential leadership and guidance to the Shift Leaders during the weekend shifts. You will be responsible for ensuring that they are well-equipped to manage their teams and address any operational issues that arise.
Profile
The ideal candidate for the role of Interim Operations Manager (Weekends) should possess the following key qualifications and attributes:
A hands-on leadership style, displaying effective and timely decision-making abilities, along with a "CAN DO" attitude, which is essential for addressing operational challenges promptly and positively.
Prior experience in a senior operations management role is crucial, as it demonstrates the candidate's ability to take on a leadership position and effectively manage operations.
Familiar with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and have experience using data-driven decision-making processes, indicating their ability to analyse and interpret operational data to make informed choices.
Resource Allocation and Production Planning.
Excellent Communication and People Leadership Skills.
Experience in managing a specialist manufacturing environment with multiple product types and frequent changeovers is important.
